We find it difficult to describe ourselves, so we had a friend do it! Anne & Jordi have a unique and seemingly almost impossible synergy: she is Irish, he is Catalan, she is a whirlwind, he is calm and unruffled.
Anne’s magic lies in her perpetual desire to push boundaries, her passion for continuous growth and learning, and her ability to savour every moment with youthful enthusiasm. She is
yang: energy, strength, and courage. Jordi is yin, bringing calm, level-headedness and self-assurance to the relationship. He applies ingenuity, creativity and imagination to any undertaking that requires skill and an attention to detail. Les Voltes has plenty of examples of his creativity, including his unique light installations. Jordi himself is pure goodness and dedication raised to the power of three.
Les Voltes
Already in love with the village and area, we fell in love with Les Voltes in 2012. We bought it as a home, not a holiday home, but with time, it has naturally blended into both. Perhaps that’s why so many of our guests feel so at home here.
“Les Voltes” [laes vəltaes] is the Catalan word for arches. Our house is built atop two, which we lovingly restored in 2021 and whose original name was “Les Voltes de Gratapalles”. The arches are a stone’s throw from the Knights Templar castle and were first mentioned in 1519 in relation to a sword fight between two bands: the “Gratapalles” and the “Foguets”.

No hidden catches. The last thing we want is for you to feel disappointed when youwalk through our doors!
