Step inside this historic home and you’ll be greeted by the timeless elegance of tall ceilings, wooden beams and doors stripped back to their natural beauty, original floors, and breathtaking art work, including a 200-year-old fresco. This is not a copy-and-paste accommodation. Everything has been thoughtfully crafted to retain its original charm while ensuring every possible comfort.

Our rooftop chillout this the cherry on top of the pie: the place where you can have a holiday within a holiday. Put on a record, grab a book, and snuggle down on one of our cozy loungers. Or pour yourself a drink and head out to the terrace where you’ll be greeted by stunning vistas of clay roof tiles and a patchwork of vineyards and olive groves framed by rolling hills.

The Space

Les Voltes is located in a historic home built over two arches perched on top of the hilltop wine village of Barberà de la Conca. The accommodation consists of three  spaces: a 2-bedroom apartment that sleeps up to 4 people (Les Voltes I), a 3-bedroom apartment that sleeps up to 6 people (Les Voltes II), and the full house, which sleeps up to 10 (Les Voltes III). All options come with exclusive use of the rooftop chillout area and terraces unless otherwise arranged.

The first-floor apartment is a spacious, light-filled 80-m2 apartment with two king-sized bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and living room, and a generously sized bathroom with a walk-in shower. The pièce de résistance is an exquisite marble sink, repurposed from the original kitchen, and adorned by tiles from the late 1800s. The apartment boasts four double balcony doors, each leading out onto a small balcony where you can see the village come to life.

Our bedrooms are comfortable and thoughtfully furnished to create an inviting atmosphere, crowned by beautifully restored wooden beams and framed by an original fresco from the late 18th century discovered under layers of paint. The two master bedrooms have a king-sized bed (150 x 200 cm). Both rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and blackout blinds to ensure a restful sleep.

The kitchen boasts a silestone countertop, a SMEG oven and 90-cm gas hob, and a powerful yet silent extractor set amidst old Catalan kitchen tiles and a little wooden window that looks out onto one of the village’s most emblematic squares. Next to this window is a balcony with fresh herbs to add a special touch to your meals. The kitchen is fully equipped and said to be “better than at home” by some of our delighted guests. Off the living room is a small laundry room.

The second-floor apartment, renovated just in 2024, has three king-sized bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and living room with panoramic views, and a bathroom with a bathtub/shower. Almost everything in this apartment is sparkling new. Like downstairs, the kitchen also features a 90-cm gas hob and a wrap-around porcelain countertop. The living room features original art work by internationally acclaimed local/Dutch artist Enric Adserà Riba.

Experience maximum comfort all year round with double-glazed original wood windows, heating and air-conditioning, and ceiling fans. You can also rest easy knowing that all our electricity comes from 100% renewable energy sources.

Upstairs, we’ve transformed what used to be home to over 200 chickens into a sensory haven. Step into a 55-m2 chillout area with cozy loungers, books and games, a mini-bar, darts, discoball, and music collection featuring over 600 LPs and CDs. This space opens out onto a terrace with stunning views of the surrounding countryside, a BBQ, and a spiral staircase that takes you up to a solarium with 360° views. At the other end, you have a 25-m2 office equipped with a sofa, piano, yoga equipment, and everything you need to get your creative juices flowing. With high-speed WiFi, the option to reserve a second screen, keyboard, and printer, and a wall-to-wall window, your productivity will reach new heights.

The Area

With its great natural beauty, incomparable cultural heritage, and superb gastronomy, La Conca de Barberà is the perfect place to get away from it all. It’s slow tourism at its best. We have three e-mountain bikes for rent on site, plus a garage where you can tune up and store your own bikes.
