In 2017, after 3 years of renovation work, we opened Les Voltes, a unique retreat nestled in the heart of Barberà de la Conca, with its roots tracing back to the 15th century. Guests were immediately captivated by the harmonious blend of modern amenities, historic charm, and thoughtfully curated design. In June 2024, we added Les Voltes II, a newly renovated apartment located within the same historic building. Regardless of which space you book, you’ll have exclusive access to the rooftop lounge area and terrace. During the summer (approximately from June 22nd to September 11th), guests can also enjoy complimentary access to the village swimming pool.
Voltes II, a bright and spacious 80-m² apartment, features an open-plan living and dining area with a brand-new, fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen comes with a five-burner gas stove and a dishwasher, and the wall-to-wall windows offer panoramic views of Mediterranean rooftops, vineyards, olive trees, and rolling hills. From the abundant natural light to spectacular artwork by local artist Enric Adserà, every element of the space has been carefully designed to inspire and delight.
A short hallway leads to three large bedrooms, each furnished with luxurious king-sized beds (150 x 200 cm), brand new mattresses, and premium linens for a perfect night’s rest. The retro-inspired bathroom, with updated 1970s fixtures, seamlessly combines vintage charm with modern comfort.
One flight up, you’ll find the rooftop lounge—a perfect space to unwind. It features cozy seating, a sound system, a disco ball, and an extensive collection of over 700 vinyl records and CDs. You’ll also find books, games, darts, and a mini-bar for your enjoyment. Large wooden windows open to a beautiful terrace, where you can take in sweeping views of vineyards, olive groves, and rolling hills. Climb the spiral staircase to reach the 360º rooftop solarium—perfect for sunbathing or stargazing. There’s also an office space, complete with a piano, yoga equipment, and a large window offering views to inspire creativity.
Barberà de la Conca is a village steeped in history, from its Knights Templar castle to its Art Nouveau “wine cathedral” and the first agricultural cooperative in Catalonia. The village is surrounded by family-run vineyards and numerous trails, ideal for walking or exploring on one of our e-mountain bikes. Local amenities include two bars, a pharmacy, a shop offering take-away food, and a store selling local wines and produce.
Beyond the village, the Conca de Barberà region is a haven for lovers of history and wine. It’s home to centuries-old monasteries, vineyards, castles, and picturesque medieval villages. Despite its serene setting, Les Voltes II is conveniently located—just an hour south of Barcelona and a 30-minute drive from Tarragona’s stunning beaches.
Voltes II comfortably accommodates up to six guests. For larger groups, you can rent the entire property, Voltes III, which includes five king-sized bedrooms and sleeps up to 10 guests. For smaller groups, have a look at Voltes I.
